URGENT CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: Sparc and the Lincoln Land Down Syndrome Society are hosting the iCan Bike Camp July 14–18 at Glenwood Intermediate School in Chatham. This life-changing program teaches individuals with disabilities how to ride a two-wheel bike—many for the very first time! Volunteers are urgently needed (age 15+) to commit to the same 90-minute time slot each day for the week. Available times: 8:15–9:45am, 9:50–11:20am, 11:25am–12:55pm, and 3:20–4:50pm. Volunteers will jog or walk alongside riders, offering encouragement and support. It’s an incredible cause, and being part of it will truly bless your heart! The WLUJ Family of Stations and Great News Radio can air your Public Service Announcement -PSA- for your church or other non-profit organization at no charge. This includes special events and activities such as programs, seminars, banquets, concerts, revivals, etc.
We will list and broadcast announcements as time, space, and resources permit. PSAs are included on our website under Community Calendar and broadcast during our PSA on-air rotation as space and time permit. Ideally, information about your activity should reach our office at least two weeks prior to the event.
If your function, meeting, or activity includes ticket purchase for admission and may be perceived as a profit-making enterprise, determinations will need be made on how best to handle your submission.
