September 26, Thursday: First Step Women’s Center will be hosting their annual fundraising banquet at The Crowne Plaza (3000 South Dirksen Parkway, Springfield), filling the inspiring time of fellowship with compelling testimonies of many lives saved, including special guest speaker: Kelly Lester! Funds raised allow First Step center to provide FREE, LIFESAVING medical care and services! This event will be of no charge to attend, you will, however, be asked to make a donation at the end of the night to help this wonderful ministry continue the vital work they are accomplishing in Illinois. October 5, Saturday: You are invited for a day filled with fall time fun for the entire family, helping Refuge Ranch (9350 Cascade Rd, Rochester) celebrate seventeen years at their annual Mane Event Open House – feel encouraged to come and join in on the celebration, giving thanks for another amazing season of ministry and gearing up to support seasons to come! This year’s event will offer live music by Illinois Rail, horse rides, lots of FREE activities for kids including: a bounce house, canoeing, glitter stamps, balloon animals and a photo booth! The WLUJ Family of Stations and Great News Radio can air your Public Service Announcement -PSA- for your church or other non-profit organization at no charge. This includes special events and activities such as programs, seminars, banquets, concerts, revivals, etc.
We will list and broadcast announcements as time, space, and resources permit. PSAs are included on our website under Community Calendar and broadcast during our PSA on-air rotation as space and time permit. Ideally, information about your activity should reach our office at least two weeks prior to the event.
If your function, meeting, or activity includes ticket purchase for admission and may be perceived as a profit-making enterprise, determinations will need be made on how best to handle your submission.
