June 2, Friday:   The Kramers will be holding a Gospel Concert at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, located at 401 Walnut St, Washington,  on Friday, June 2nd.   The event will start at 8:00 pm and end at 9:30.  Tickets are $5.00 and a free-will offering will also be taken.

June 4, Sunday:   First Baptist Church of Macon is celebrating their 58th Anniversary on Sunday, June 4th.  The regular worship service will be at 10:00 am followed by a Fellowship lunch at 11:30 am.   Echoes of Grace will be performing at 1:00 pm with cake and punch served at the conclusion.  There will be no evening service.  The church is located at 354 W Wall St, Macon.  For more information call 217-764-5015.

June 4, Sunday:    50 + 1 Annual Anniversary Gospel Concert hosted by Fresh Visions Community Church on Sunday, June 4th @ 4:00 pm.  Please join Pastor Jerry Jones & The Fantastic Jones Family for this special event.   The church is located at 1551 J. June 6, Tuesday:   Fresh Visions Community Church is gearing up for Vacation Bible School starting June 6th -8th,  Tuesday-Thursday,  from 6:00 to 8:00 pm nightly.   There are classes for all ages and fun activities and good food are planned.  The theme is “I’ve Got This With Jesus”.  The church is located at 1551 J David Jones Parkway, Springfield.    For more information call       217-726-5988. 

June 6, Tuesday:   Low Vision Technology Fair, presented by Illinois Assistive Technology Program & Mary Bryant Home for the Blind and Visually Impaired, will be held on Tuesday, June 6th.  The event will start at 9:00 am until 2:00 pm and will be at Christ The King Parish Hall located at 1930 Barberry Dr, Springfield, Il.  Free Admission and there will be Exhibits, Speakers, Lunch and Door Prizes.  To RSVP for lunch, call 800-652-5110.  *Notification for personal accommodations required by May 14th.

June 11, Sunday:   Rochester Library Farmers Market will open on Sunday June 11th.  The market is held every second and fourth Sunday from noon to three from June 11th through September 24th.   There will be fresh produce, artisan crafts, and baked goods.  The variety changes so come more than once.  The Library is located at 1 Community Dr, Rochester.  For more information call Beth at 217-498-8454 

June 11, Sunday:   Singer, Songwriter and Storyteller, Daryl Mosley, will be in concert at the Petersburg First Baptist Church on Sunday June 11th.  The church is located at 103 W Sangamon Ave, Petersburg and the concert will start at 10:45 am.  Daryl  has been sharing his songs and his stories with America for over 30 years and one of his best-known songs, “Ask the Blind Man, He Saw it All”.   The concert is free and the community is invited to attend.  A love offering will be taken.  For more information call Patty Lindley at 502-262-0428 or the First Baptist Church at 217-632-2488.

June 22-24, Thursday-Saturday:  Christian Storytelling and Bible Telling Conference hosted by the  Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, located at 951 Lincoln Ave., Jacksonville, Il will be held on Thursday through Saturday on June 22nd  through June 24th.  This event is a unique opportunity to learn how storytelling can help communicate God’s Word to others.  The conference will benefit pastors, church leaders, volunteers, missionaries, educators and anyone seeking to engage their community with the Gospel.   On Thursday, there will be a Story Concert, free and open to the public.  Music at 6:45 pm and Story concert at 7:00 8:30.  For more information and to register, visit https//www.christianstorytelling.com.   

June 25, Sunday:  “The Outpouring Service in the Park”  Hands & Feet Ministry along with Faith Outreach Christian Center, also A.A.O. The WLUJ Family of Stations and Great News Radio can air your Public Service Announcement -PSA- for your church or other non-profit organization at no charge. This includes special events and activities such as programs, seminars, banquets, concerts, revivals, etc.

We will list and broadcast announcements as time, space, and resources permit. PSAs are included on our website under Community Calendar and broadcast during our PSA on-air rotation as space and time permit. Ideally, information about your activity should reach our office at least two weeks prior to the event.

If your function, meeting, or activity includes ticket purchase for admission and may be perceived as a profit-making enterprise, determinations will need be made on how best to handle your submission.

We want to serve and assist you in promoting your God-honoring activities.
